If I haven’t written anything in a long time it’s because I don’t want to share. I’m content to let it ferment in the back of my mind as I hustle and bustle about the end of Obermeyer’s selling season. I am content to keep things to myself for a while longer…
Then funny things happen in Tremblant.
Last weekend Ami & I snuck into the Casino gondola without anyone noticing, and without us noticing that it was no longer in full operation… See it keeps running for maintenance afterwards. I called Nic Pic as we descended into the south village and the lift stopped a hundred feet from the station.
Good thing Nic is a lifty. Before we even realized that we were going to be trapped there he’d muscled his way into the operator’s cabin and coaxed the sleepy attendant into turning it back on. It took twelve minutes to restart and when it did we moved backwards and stopped. Then we started to move forward slowly and forced several gondolas to pile up in the receiving station before our door opened and we were free. And there was Nic with a beer.
As the G-Man says: ““the right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.”
